Prof. Wells was excellent and provided helpful feedback on all the assignments.

Dr. Wells is always open to help me improve my work. Through the whole semester she gave me feedback and that was very helpful for me. She's an amazing professor.

The feedback was insightful and a great help to improve.

What, if anything, would you like to see improved in this course? What would you change?
I don't think there could be much improvement to this course.
The course was very effective in giving us a good example about writing essays and even providing a good helping structure about how it is supposed to look like. Because of this, I think this should be kept the same, we need more ways to structure our essays to provide a better understanding of our chosen topics.

I had an enjoyable experience with this class, it is by far the best experience I have had for my Freshman year of college.

I like the short writing assignments in Canvas discussions that helped me practice writing for a bigger essay. The days where I was able to work on essays in class while the instructor being able to stand by for assistance was quite nice as well. Some types of essays are fun and allowed me to be creative and go above and beyond the requirements.
Extremely wonderful teacher! Very elaborate on every assignment.

I liked that she helped us improve in our writing and actually explain what we did wrong.

The instructor was excellent in effectively communicating with the students in a professional demeanor.

What, if anything, would you like to see improved in this course? What would you change?
Nothing. I enjoyed taking this course with Professor Wells.
As her student, I found Kim Wells to be excellent in teaching complex material to students of widely varying experience and familiarity with the material. She challenges students at every level of ability to do their best and keeps the subject matter interesting, timely, and relevant to real world applications. In her technical writing class, her assignments gave us breadth and depth. We learned the nuts and bolts of various software applications while producing a practical portfolio for business. She made it both comfortable and compelling for an over forty returning student to work on teams with eighteen year olds. She is respected and appreciated by her students who enjoy a high level of mentorship and ongoing assistance. To this day, I can reach out to her with questions about new technology and get a simple, easy to implement answer, and that is not unique to me. I know I was lucky to be in her classroom, where her expertise and exuberance made all of us better.
Dr. Wells is truly one of the best professors I have ever had during my academic career. Her classes and assignments were carefully crafted to not only educate us, but to inspire and entertain us. Dr. Wells made it a priority to help her students truly connect with the pieces we were asked to read. She challenged us to go beyond mere comprehension and place ourselves and our own experiences into the story. By injecting even the dryest of texts with humor and tying thematic elements to things we could observe in the present day, she made what could have been an otherwise boring literature course into something I looked forward to each week. I became a better writer under her instruction, but I also became a better reader- a trait that has benefited me in both my personal and professional life. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Wells for the lessons she taught me.
Dr. Wells was my teacher and I liked her because she made English fun. It’s been 10 years since I sat in her classroom, but I still have fond memories, which is saying a lot. I was a "non-traditional" student (37 years old), and somehow Dr. Wells made her lessons relatable to everyone. I’ve been an avid reader for most my life, and Dr. Wells assigned a great deal of reading homework. During the discussion of the reading homework, she asked us what actors would we assign to each character. It was a simple exercise, but I found it very entertaining and I still do this exercise with most books I read. Dr. Wells is a great educator. I almost wish I was back in school sitting in her classroom.
